Quentin out 2-3 Weeks

Chicago White Sox MVP candidate Carlos Quentin will be out for the next 2-3 weeks after breaking his wrist with a self-inflicted injury.

"My last at-bat, the second pitch I fouled off against Lee. Something I've done thousands of times since I was a kid. A little frustrated. I had the bat in my left hand and I just kind of hit down on the bat head with my right hand with a closed fist. I kind of hit a little bit low, nicked my wrist and finished the at-bat."

It was then when Quentin, who is hitting .288 with an AL leading 36 HR and 100 RBI cracked the bone in his wrist. The big news is that he will have a screw inserted in his wrist, and will be evaluated 2-3 weeks later.

This is a huge blow for the White Sox. They're in a very tight AL Central battle with the Twins and an equally as tight wild card race. With their team MVP out for the next few weeks, it will be up to others to fill the void.
